As a devoted Bond fan, James and Wendy :) , I was thrilled that this was the week Quantum of Solace was released. Have copy, will watch. Repeatedly. So in honour of that momentous event, here is a hysterical video from Youtube featuring Daniel Craig – Enjoy!

Foumd this blog today – belongs to a wonderful designer who has her own letterpress company, Dingbat press. Some wonderful stuff! Here’s the link:

Found this website with these amazing felt dolls – I’m so impressed with the amount of detail in these beautiful little dolls.  She is a true artist.

There’s a new WhiteDog in town. One and a half pounds of trouble. She’s fiesty, cute as a button, and a pest – the usual Westie attributes. Welcome, Aberdeen!

Her first day home - and already preparing to steal Stuart's bed!

Proving that I can actually manage to warp a loom, here are a couple of pics of my floor loom, currently dressed with mercerized cotton in the warp. I’m using non-mercerized in the weft and a broken twill pattern – it’s looking pretty good. I think.  (ignore the really messy craft area – these photos embarassed me into cleaning it up today…)

In my opinion, this is one of the great mysteries of the world…. I actually fear finishing the piece I currently have on my floor loom because that means I’ll have to go through the process of warping again. Oh well, practice makes perfect, I guess.

This is an interesting video outlining how to warp a loom that I found on Youtube. I thought there would be more videos like this online but I haven’t found many. If you have one, let me know.

Only five weeks after losing Fergus, we have been struck by another tragedy – our sweet Cassie passed away on December 1. Cassie was 15 years young and had always been very healthy, however, recently she had diagnosed with Westie Lung Disease, a horrible respiratory disease that scarred her little lungs making it very difficult for her to breath. She held on for three weeks after diagnosis but the end came very early on Monday morning. Wayne held our little sweetheart as she left us to go be with Fergus. The knowledge that they are together again and that he has company is comforting, but we do feel so alone.

The three White Dogs are now just one….

On October 24, 2008, I lost my best buddy and the original WhiteDog, Fergus. Not long after attending the Westie Walk (see the video below), the brain tumour that he’d been courageously fighting started to take over and he began to have difficulty with simple things like standing and walking. I couldn’t bear to watch my beautiful boy struggle – it was completely heartbreaking to watch how brave he was. So, we decided to allow him to go peacefully and with dignity. He passed on in my arms surrounded by much love.

I miss him more than I can even describe. I can still see his beautiful face and imagine how it felt to hold him as he’d sleep on his back in my arms. So, the three WhiteDogs are now two and our house feels so empty.

Sleep well, Chubby Buddy. Know we love you.
