Got a new toy last week – a needle felting machine. So much fun. It’s completely addictive. So far, I’ve just been playing about but I can see all sorts of interesting uses for this thing in my future. Here are a couple of samples – just overlaying fabric on wool foundation. The first uses all cotton fabric and the second uses a blend – definitely better to use all natural fabrics. 
Now, I’m mulling over how to combine this with weaving…
Heard Peter Sellars speak as part of ACAD’s Stirring Culture 2 lecture series yesterday. Really inspiring guy. He’s a festival, opera, etc. producer known for doing things a bit differently. There’s an interview with him on Youtube where he talks about the ”vocal creative dialogue”. As a seriously music obsessed person, what he has to say really resonates with me. Check it out:
