Picked up a new quilt ruler that has the unfortunately cutsie name, the Lil Twister. Ugh.
But it’s really cool to use. SO simple and the results are quite effective.
This:
Turns into this:
Just need to add some borders, quilt it and bind it and I’m done. I love this. Here’s a detail shot.
And here’s the ruler. SO simple!

Rather excited – got the fabrics in the mail today the I ordered to make the gorgeous Super Nova quilt.
I’ve wanted to make this one for a long time. Finally took the plunge and ordered fabric. Combined with what’s in my stash, I now have what I need to get going.
Here’s the happiness I got in today’s mail!
This is the adorable Backyard line. LOVE this – and there’s a little white dog in one of the prints so, of course, I had to have it.
Then there’s the tangerine stack. Not sure all of these will work for my quilt but there are a few that have the right orange and blue.
This Seashore stack has some great fabrics.
And this is the grey solid I choose for the background. The photo doesn’t show the colour properly. It’s much richer than this; more like the one in the photo of the finished quilt at the top of this post.
I have some additional FQs in my stash I’ll use to round out the fabric choices:
A couple more FQ stacks:
And some lighter grey prints.
Next step is to audition all the prints and make my final decisions. I think I need a total of 22 FQs. So I have lots to choose from!
