Got a new toy last week – a needle felting machine. So much fun. It’s completely addictive. So far, I’ve just been playing about but I can see all sorts of interesting uses for this thing in my future. Here are a couple of samples – just overlaying fabric on wool foundation. The first uses all cotton fabric and the second uses a blend – definitely better to use all natural fabrics. 
Now, I’m mulling over how to combine this with weaving…
So recently I took up weaving. Yes, weaving. On a loom. Kinda crazy.
And after making a number of scarves, placemats and table runners, I was getting bored.Then it occurred to me that I should be able to weave something that I could incorporate into something I’d sew – since I do a lot of that, too. And with that the Balding Hat was born.
Why is it called the Balding Hat? Well, my hubby insists that he is balding, not bald – yet his little dome head gets cold and I am sick to death of baseball caps. This just looks so much less pickup truck and bottle of beer.
